The Women in Business Group (WiBG) at the Edinburgh Chamber of Commerce provides a forum for women working in the Scottish business community.
Our aim is to provide an opportunity to develop personal and professional skills through networking, training, education and, of course, socialising!
Networking activities and creating an environment to develop personal contacts within the membership of the Chamber are central to WiBG. The group hosts three or four main events throughout the year with invited guest speakers to provide a focus on a variety of different business areas or community issues which are of interest to those living and working in Edinburgh and the Lothians.
WiBG has built up a core of regular attendees at its events from a wide range of business and professional backgrounds - self-employed, financial, media, education, public relations, banking and leisure to name but a few.
A WiBG Strategy Group meets regularly to discuss the way forward for the group.
One of WiBG's main aims is to strengthen our links with women members of key influence groups such as the Confederation of British Industry (CBI), Scottish Council for Development and Industry (SCDI), Institute of Directors (IoD) and other businesswomen's groups.
