Bumper end to 2016 for IME Property
Edinburgh’s fastest growing independent commercial property agency, IME Property, is surging into the New Year following an exceptional end to 2016 which saw them conclude two deals in December worth almost £2m.
In a transaction worth £925,000, IME acted on behalf of Beijing Banquet in acquiring The Crofters in Sighthill Court from the UK’s largest pub retailer Greene King. It is the third such venue alongside Glenrothes and Danderhall for the Chinese buffet restaurant outfit.
Similarly, IME concluded another sizeable deal in December by selling 19 Dublin Street, a category B-listed townhouse, on behalf of a private client to Stone Acre Property Developments for £790,000. It is expected the townhouse will be turned into high value apartments by the Edinburgh-based developer.
IME Property managing director, Iain Mercer, explains it was a strong end to another successful year for the business: “Our proactive approach to marketing and ability to construct deals of all types is seeing IME Property continue to go from strength to strength, year on year.
“While other agencies were gearing down for the festive break we were full throttle to finish the year on a high.
IME’s stature within the commercial property market in and around Edinburgh continues to mushroom and, according to Mr Mercer, 2017 is shaping up to be just as positive.
“There has been no sign of the local market abating over the festive period with strong interest in a number of our clients properties. We have already completed a number of transactions,” he concluded.
