Shepherd and Wedderburn receives highest accreditations as Investor in People and Investor in Young People
Shepherd and Wedderburn is proud to announce that it has been reaccredited as an Investor in People (IIP) at ‘Platinum’ level and awarded the ‘Platinum’ accreditation as an Investor in Young People (IIYP).
These highest attainable accreditations, awarded by Investors in People, reflect the firm’s commitment to excellence in employment practices and people initiatives.
“We are thrilled to be in the unique position within our sector of attaining the ‘Platinum’ accreditations as an Investor in People and Investor in Young People,” said Gillian Carty, Chair at Shepherd and Wedderburn.
“The assessors commended our strong values-based culture, open communication, and consistent leadership and management. Our colleagues also expressed a strong sense of pride in working for the firm, highlighting the opportunities for learning and development and the supportive integration of new colleagues.
“These awards reflect our ongoing commitment to continuous improvement for our people and our dedication to fostering a culture of excellence and growth. We will continue to prioritise the development and well-being of our colleagues as we strive for continued success.”
Investors in People CEO, Paul Devoy commented, “It is an exceptional achievement by the team at Shepherd and Wedderburn to achieve Platinum accreditation in both Investors in People and Investors in Young People. It demonstrates their long-term commitment to not only investing in their current workforce but also investing in the future through supporting young people to get into and on in work.”
Of the organisations that promote their IIP and IIYP accreditations, only five hold an IIP accreditation at any level alongside IIYP at Platinum level. Shepherd and Wedderburn is the only one of these five organisations to hold both awards at Platinum level. Additionally, only three organisations in the legal sector hold both IIP and IIYP accreditation at any level.
