City of Edinburgh Council, in collaboration with CGI, selects Access Mosaic as new case management system to enhance both social care and justice social work services

Posted: 10th September 2024

The City of Edinburgh Council and IT and business consulting services firm CGI (NYSE: GIB) (TSX: GIB.A), have announced the selection of Access Mosaic to support the transformation of both digital social care and justice social work services in the capital.

Access Mosaic is a comprehensive, cloud-based case management solution which will enable social care practitioners to effortlessly acquire necessary information. By offering an integrated suite of care and support software through a single portal, Access Mosaic reduces administrative workload, improving the quality of care for both adults and children throughout their journeys in the system.

Cllr Cammy Day, Leader of City of Edinburgh Council, said: “In Edinburgh we’re actively investing in tools and technology to modernise the way we deliver council services, so our teams can focus on what is important to residents. Our partnership with CGI and Access Mosaic is an example of how we’re enhancing our systems. This software will help us transform administration for our social care and customer support teams and make systems easier to navigate with improved data. These improvements will allow social work teams to focus on delivering the best quality care to our citizens. We’re looking forward to seeing services and secure record keeping become more streamlined as a result.”

Julie Sadler, Vice President Consulting Services for CGI in Scotland, said: “CGI is very pleased to be partnering with City of Edinburgh Council and The Access Group to implement Access Mosaic over the next two years. Access Mosaic will make a difference to social care and justice services in Edinburgh. This partnership will enable everyone to have access to the data they need to provide a far more efficient, quality service.”

Steve Sawyer, Managing Director of Health, Support and Care at The Access Group, said: “We are delighted to be working with City of Edinburgh Council, our 10th Mosaic customer in Scotland. This collaboration marks an exciting step forward for our local government team. With Access Mosaic, social care professionals will have more time and the critical information they need to support adults, children, and families in achieving positive outcomes. We look forward to working closely with the council and CGI to make a significant impact together.”

CGI, the council’s primary provider of end-to-end managed IT services, is working with the council to transform its digital systems and provide the best possible service for all those living and working in Edinburgh.
