EiB continues to expand their work winning team
Four new bid writers have joined EiB’s team of work winning professionals this month. Over the next two years, they will be supported by Deputy Professional Head for Graduate Development, Joe Stewart, through a structured ‘EiB Way’ development programme of market leading bid management and writing.
EiB fosters a hybrid-working model. Alice Verdon and Rebecca Woods will be based in our Birmingham head office and Lucy Brice and Lucy Cunningham will be based in our Edinburgh office, further expanding our Scotland-based team. This enables the team to work from home, at dedicated office locations in Birmingham, Edinburgh, London, Belfast and Dublin, and co-locate with clients at their offices or sites as required.
Operations Director for Scotland and Ireland, Gordon Wilson, said: “In two years we have developed a team of five bid writers based in Scotland, all bringing their understanding and local knowledge to our clients north of the border.”
EiB’s new writers will be supported with ongoing professional development. This will include Association of Proposal Management Professionals (APMP) qualifications to strengthen their industry knowledge, and further qualifications with accredited bodies such as the Chartered Management Institute.
They will gain experience across the wide range of sectors we support our clients in, including rail, highways, renewables, health and defence. They will be mentored by our dedicated graduate mentor, Stacey Macdonald, providing opportunity for joint learning, problem solving and career development.
Joe is looking forward to supporting EiB’s new writers: “Together with the whole EiB team, I am very excited to welcome our new writers. I look forward to getting to know them over their induction and developing them into skilled bid consultants, building on learning from the last few years of the programme. In particular, I expect our new buddy system, pairing new writers with experienced bid writers, will further embed the EiB Way and build strong relationships early on.”
