Loan Move For Lia Tweedie

Posted: 14th October 2024

Hibernian Women striker Lia Tweedie has joined Queen’s Park on loan until 1 January, 2025.

Tweedie started playing for Hibs Girls Academy at the age of 11. She then was provided with the opportunity at First Team level to make her debut aged 16. Throughout her time at the Club, Lia has scored some vital goals to lead the Hibees to victory.

Across her two spells with the Hibees, Lia has made 121 appearances for Hibs Women.

She will now join up with Craig Joyce’s Queen’s Park squad until January.

Hibernian Women Head Coach, Grant Scott commented: “After discussions with Lia we felt that it would be a good opportunity for her to gain more game time than what was potentially on offer here.”

“This opportunity provides exactly that – and will be a good chance for Lia to play at another competitive level and keep improving. We look forward to following her progress closely and we wish her all the best.”
