SUSHISAMBA EDINBURGH TO TAKE AFTERNOON TEA TO NEW HEIGHTS AT W EDINBURGH THIS NEW YEAR

W Edinburgh has announced the launch of Scotland’s first SUSHISAMBA Afternoon Tea. Launching  on Saturday 4th January 2025, the new afternoon tea will incorporate SUSHISAMBA’s unique blend of Japanese, Brazilian and Peruvian culture and cuisine, and will be available to enjoy exclusively at the restaurant from W Edinburgh’s 10th Floor.

The new menu (priced at £65 per person, or from £75 per person including a glass of Laurent-Perrier Brut), will be available daily at SUSHISAMBA Edinburgh from 12noon to 4pm. An elevated take on the traditional Afternoon Tea concept unlike anything else in Scotland, the new offering will be served upon striking tea stands designed and crafted especially for W Edinburgh by a local ironmonger.

From January, guests and visitors at W Edinburgh will be able to enjoy savoury delights made with the best of Scottish produce including a signature Highland Wagyu Katsu Sando (with arenkha caviar, aji panca, and sriracha mayo), a fresh Scottish Scallop Nigiri (with aburi and passionfruit sauce) and the best-sellilng Samba Edinburgh Roll (with whisky-cured salmon, avocado, oshinko, whisky orange gel).

While taking in the unparalleled, panoramic views of the city from Calton Hill to Edinburgh Castle, guests enjoying SUSHISAMBA’s new Afternoon Tea will be treated to sweets including a Blackberry & Coconut Choux (with almond sable and blackberry gel), a decadent 66% Dark Chocolate & Miso Cremeux (with yuzu, and yoghurt), and a delightful Exotic Fruit Japanese Milk Bun (mango salsa and honey tuille) crafted by the hotel’s in-house pastry experts.

The offering is complete with a menu of Laurent-Perrier Champagne, a selection of fine teas, and Honey & Tahitian Vanilla Scones served warm with strawberry & pink peppercorn compote and clotted cream. There is also a full vegetarian menu on offer.
