Appointment of Non-Executive Director

Balfour Beatty, the international infrastructure group, today announces that Rudolph (Rudy) Wynter has been appointed as a Non-Executive Director with effect from 1 December 2024.

 

Rudy has over 35 years’ experience in the gas and electricity industry where he has served in many leadership and senior operational roles with his most recent roles as President, National Grid New York, leading the company’s regulated energy delivery portfolio and prior to that as Chief Operating Officer of National Grid’s Wholesale Networks & Capital Delivery business. He has a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering from Pratt Institute and a Master of Business Administration from Fordham University in the US.

 

Rudy is currently a non-Executive Director, Chair of the Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee and member of the Audit Committee of EnerSys Inc (NYSE:ENS), the stored energy systems technology provider.

 

Lord Charles Allen of Kensington, CBE and Chair of Balfour Beatty said: “I am delighted that Rudy has agreed to join us.  His extensive experience of the development and construction of large complex engineering and capital energy projects will make him a strong addition to Balfour Beatty’s Board, as we continue to realise our growth ambitions for the Group.”
