Gillespie Macandrew achieves double-digit income growth

Posted: 21st August 2023

Scottish law firm Gillespie Macandrew announces its financial results for the year ending 28 February 2023 which confirm the business achieved double digit income growth for the second consecutive year.  Turnover reached £16.8m, representing an increase of 11% on the previous year, making the firm one of the fastest growing independent law firms in Scotland over the last 5 years.  Growth in 2023 was achieved across the firm’s renewable energy, commercial property and dispute resolution services, as well as its market-leading land and rural business and private client activities.

Chief Executive Officer, Robert Graham-Campbell, said: “These strong results reflect the quality of our practice along with the commitment and expertise of our staff in supporting and advising our clients.”

The firm’s Chair, Michael Shaw added “We have achieved another strong set of results and continue to attract talented practitioners to our business, as well as enjoying success in nurturing and developing talent from within.“

Earlier this year the firm appointed five new partners in its Corporate, Family Law, Housebuilder and Private Client teams with internal promotions for Ross MacRae, Sharon Murray and Andrew Leslie. Private client and Chartered Tax Adviser, David Mowlem joined from Turcan Connell in May 2023, while corporate law specialist Alan Gilfillan returned to the firm from Balfour + Manson in July 2023, having completed his traineeship at Gillespie Macandrew.

Gillespie Macandrew has offices in Edinburgh, Glasgow and Perth and advises clients on all areas of land and rural business, private client, commercial real estate, energy, tax and disputes, combining a personal approach with industry-leading expertise.
