In a city like Edinburgh there should be a place for us all to sleep safely.
Right now, more people than ever in our community are struggling without a home. Nick, one of Cyrenians’ Homeless Navigators, says in his 20 years working with people facing homelessness, things are more desperate than ever. For the first time in his memory, there are people living in tents on Princes Street.
Cyrenians provide practical solutions that focus on prevention and early intervention, so that people get the help they need before they reach crisis point. Our services work across addiction recovery, family mediation, supported housing, food distribution and more.
With demand for our services growing, support from organisations like yours is vital to bring care, community, and hope to those who have been struggling for far too long.
Nick sees the crisis first hand every day, meeting people like Claire, who fled home for her safety only to face even greater dangers on the streets. As Claire says, “Even in the middle of busy crowds, I was invisible.”
This winter, let’s make sure no one in our community feels invisible. With your support, our services can continue offering person-centred, compassionate care all year round to those who are at risk of homelessness.
Your donation means that we can continue to be there this winter for those who need us most, when they need it most.
