JetBlue to add Boston to Edinburgh destinations

Posted: 12th December 2024

Airline confirms second route as it extends New York JFK service following first year success.
JetBlue will add a second destination to its Edinburgh Airport options after confirming it will operate a summer service to Boston next summer.

The service will operate from Edinburgh from May 23 to 25 October, flying daily between Scotland’s capital and one of the USA’s most famous cities on an A321neo.

It comes as the airline also extends its Edinburgh to New York JFK service from May 9 to October 25 – this is following the success of the route that launched earlier this summer.

Gordon Dewar, Chief Executive of Edinburgh Airport said:

“This is a bit of an early Christmas present as JetBlue add a second destination from Edinburgh Airport, providing even more connections between Scotland and the USA.

“The success of JetBlue’s Edinburgh to New York JFK route has demonstrated to the airline the clear demand for transatlantic travel from Scotland’s busiest airport, and we are delighted to see them add Boston to their schedule as well as extend that hugely successful JFK service.

“And if anyone is looking for a last-minute Christmas gift, then these flights will go on sale immediately so give the gift of travel this year!”
