PwC Scotland names new Cyber Practice Leader
A new Cyber Practice Leader has been appointed for PwC in Scotland, succeeding Colin Slater following his recent retirement.
Ross Foley, a Director based in Glasgow, joined PwC Scotland’s Cyber Security Practice eight years ago and has played a key role in the expansion of the team – which now comprises more than 50 people, creating a Scottish hub for PwC’s cyber security specialists.
In this role Ross will continue to drive and expand PwC’s cyber capabilities in Scotland – working with a range of alliance partners and clients regionally and nationally.
His appointment coincides with the launch of a new Managed Cloud Security service in partnership with Palo Alto Networks. The suite of managed security services, ranging from code to cloud will be available to UK and international clients, with the majority of delivery driven by PwC’s Cyber team in Scotland, under Ross’s leadership.
Ross Foley, Cyber Practice Leader for PwC Scotland, said:
“I’m exceptionally proud to be taking on the role of Cyber Practice Leader in Scotland. Under the stewardship of Colin Slater, who held the role until his recent retirement, our cyber security and managed services capability and expertise in Scotland has grown exponentially and gained an excellent reputation with clients and industry peers – and become a key delivery centre for our Managed Cyber Defence, and Identity and Access Management teams.
“It’s an exciting time for our team as we launch our new Managed Cloud Security service alongside alliance partner, Palo Alto Networks. I’m firmly focused on ensuring our Cyber team across Glasgow, Edinburgh and Aberdeen fosters talent, continues to grow and cement its reputation as one of the strongest – if not the strongest – in Scotland and across the UK.”
Jason Morris, Regional Market Leader for PwC Scotland, added:
“The strength of our Cyber Practice in Scotland is testament not only to the foundations laid by Colin, but also to the growth and development driven by Ross since joining the firm. The expertise Ross and the team are able to offer is some of the broadest in the market – not just in Scotland, but UK-wide and internationally.
“I’m confident that under Ross’s leadership the team will only expand and go from strength-to-strength, and I look forward to supporting the team in its development.”
