Members of the Stagecoach team attended Fresher’s Fayres at Abertay, Arbroath, Dundee, Elmwood, Gardyne, Glenrothes, Halbeath, Kirkcaldy, Perth and St Andrews across September and October highlighting the fact that students under 22 can get their free pass and students over 22 are eligible for discounted travel.
Students had the chance to win some fantastic prizes to help with student life, or the chance to win the big prize which was £200 worth of vouchers.
Nearly 200 students over ten campuses entered the Ultimate Student Survival Kit to give themselves a chance of winning some great prizes. The lucky winner was Kirsten McLaughlan who attended Fife College St Brycedale Campus. The vouchers were made up of a £50 Asda voucher, a £50 Just Eat, a £50 Scotland Loves Local voucher and a £50 Great British Pub voucher with the aim of helping one lucky student at a time of year when money could be tight.
Kirsten commented: “I was speechless when I found out. It’s an insane prize and it’s going to help so much.”
Sarah Elliott, Commercial Director, Stagecoach East Scotland commented: “It’s always great fun to attend fresher fayres and this year it was important for us to make sure people know how to access free travel in Scotland if they’re under 22, or how to get discounted travel with our great value student bus tickets. We were also delighted to give students a chance to win such an amazing prize and thrilled that it will make a big difference for Kirsten during her time at college.”
